A call has been made for members to join a diabetes committee to advise on a NICE guideline.
The organisation is looking for diabetes specialist podiatrists and vascular surgeons to join the diabetes suite committee for the Diabetic foot problems: prevention and management (update).
The guidance will partially update Diabetic foot problems: prevention and management (NG19), which aims to reduce variation in practice, including antibiotic prescribing for diabetic foot infections.
NICE is looking for:
- Diabetes specialist podiatrist or podiatrist with an interest and/or experience in the management of diabetes related foot problems.
- Vascular surgeon with an interest or experience in the management of diabetes related foot problems.
The time commitment for the role is between 10 months and a year. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
