Launch of new price saver site for prescribed products

Healthcare professionals who prescribe diabetes and pharmaceutical products have been urged to take advantage of a new price comparison saver website to get the best deal for their practice and the NHS.

Guildford-based company GlucoRx, which supplies diabetes and pharmaceutical products, has launched a website so doctors and other prescribers can see the savings they could make on items including blood glucose testing strips and pen needles.

The site,, has already attracted hundreds of users since its launch. It uses live data from the NHS and presents it in an easy-to-use format so practitioners can compare the price of GlucoRx products with available data on competitor products.

Chris Chapman, GlucoRx’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “We are committed to offering significant savings on diabetes management solutions without compromising on quality and patient care.

“Our new Saver website allows users to compare, optimise and save. The website draws on in-depth prescribing data so users can be confident they are making the best decisions based on current market data. Every penny saved benefits the NHS.

“GlucoRx offers quality products without inflated costs. We believe quality shouldn’t break the bank.”

GlucoRx products are listed individually on the GlucoRx Saver website with the following information:

  • The user’s annual average packs subscribed
  • The annual average cost of those packs
  • The annual cost if the user switched to GlucoRx
  • The potential annual efficiency saving available to a user’s practice.

This information is available on a sliding scale so users can tailor it to see all the data moving against each other. Users can also compare each product together in unique configurations to make their data as accurate to their needs as they want.
