The Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD) is appealing for a healthcare professional working in diabetes to join its executive team.
The organisation is looking for a new Honorary Meetings Secretary who wants to channel their passion for diabetes care and education into key ABCD initiatives.
As part of the role, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to form good working relationships with some of the leading figures in diabetes care.
The next chair of the ABCD, Professor Ketan Dhatariya was previously the Honorary Meetings Secretary and he “loved” the role.
Professor Dhatariya said: “The benefits were that I got to introduce myself to a lot of senior diabetologists – that I got to talk to them, got to invite them to talk and then learn from the best – I was never embarrassed to ask people.
“I think that getting to know colleagues, with the power of the ABCD behind you is a great asset, particularly for those who see themselves as wanting to do more within the diabetes world. I loved it.”
The application deadline is Friday, February 24.
To apply for the role, complete the online application form.
