An upcoming national diabetic kidney disease conference will cover hot topics including prevention, early diagnosis and how to manage the condition.
Diabetes UK has opened the registration and published the agenda for its Kidney Conference on Tuesday, July 5.
Taking place at the Mercure Bristol Holland House, the in-person event is open to all healthcare professionals.
Delegates will have the opportunity to attend a variety of informative lectures and workshops to share best practice and latest research.
Session topics include patient engagement, education and improvement, renal podiatry and addressing health inequalities in kidney patient groups and “at risk” communities.
During the conference, Dr Amrit Sachar, Liaison Psychiatry Consultant, will also speak about the relationship between mental health and diabetic kidney disease.
Meanwhile, Chaandni Sharma, Lead PCN and Senior GP Clinical Pharmacist, will host a session entitled ‘A joined up approach: Cardio-Renal and Metabolic Clinic, a Primary Care Approach’.
