Event focussing on diabetes technology is announced

Healthcare professionals working in diabetes care are invited to attend an established event dedicated to the latest technological developments in the sector.

Entitled ‘The Future of Diabetes Care’, the conference will take place on Thursday, July 7, from 9am to 2pm at the Møller Institute, Cambridge.

Hosted by Health Tech Enterprise, the programme will highlight the unmet needs in diabetes care pathways and explore how innovation in MedTech solutions could help to mitigate these.

Potential areas to be covered include unmet needs in self-monitoring, prevention, patient education and treatment of some of the complications resulting from suboptimal management of diabetes, such as diabetic foot ulcer or diabetic retinopathy.

Current speakers for the event include Professor Gerry Rayman, Dr Alistair Lumb, Dr Julia Ware, Dr Amrit Lamba, Liz Perraudin and Dr Tim Fishlock.

Other speakers taking to the stage are Lucy Diamond, Richard Kirk, Karrie Wallace and Melissa Marshall.
