Entries are now open for a prestigious awards programme which recognises, rewards and shares initiatives that enhances the lives of people with diabetes.
Healthcare professionals must submit their applications for this year’s Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards by the closing date of Friday, July 1.
Receiving QiC recognition means that an initiative has been acknowledged as bettering the lives of people with diabetes by the NHS, people with the condition, and the wider industry.
This year’s awards will also acknowledge the extraordinary work taken on and delivered throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 QiC Diabetes Awards are returning for their 12th year with a brand-new category, labelled Clinical Pathways Using Technologies. A total of 10 awards will be up for grabs, including three nomination prizes.
Debbie Woods, Head of Medical, General Medicines UK and Ireland at Sanofi, said: “Sanofi is delighted to support the QiC Programme in 2022 and to recognise and reward the innovations that will benefit people living with diabetes.
“The QiC programme is at the forefront of sharing best practice to improve the quality of care, through demonstrating novel solutions to problems encountered by healthcare professionals and those impacted by diabetes on a daily basis.”
She continued: “The commitment to quality of care is a core value of the NHS and the QiC programme is a shining example of that value in practice.”
Anyone working in the field of diabetes within the UK and Ireland are eligible to apply.
According to the organisers, the judges are eager to review a wide variety of entries and reward individuals who are making a positive difference to the lives of people with diabetes.
Judging will take place on Tuesday, September 6, followed by the QiC Diabetes 2022 Awards presentation on Thursday, October 13, at Sanofi’s headquarters in Reading.
