The key signs of frailty in people with diabetes are to be covered during an upcoming webinar in November.
Entitled ‘Diabetes and Frailty’, the online event will take place on Tuesday, November 16, from 1pm to 3pm.
The webinar, which is being hosted by the Diabetes Inpatient Specialist Nurse UK group (DISN UK), will discuss the ways frailty can be incorporated into routine care and possible interventions.
In addition, the virtual workshop will increase awareness on the management of diabetes in relation to frailty and educate delegates on what frailty looks like, how it presents and how it is measured.
Renal Frailty CNS at Imperial College Health NHS Trust, Jackie McNicholas will lead a presentation during the webinar.
Other speakers who will feature in the online event include Sue Lyne and Mark Fincher, both of who are Frailty Practitioners at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
At the end of each session, attendees will be able to ask questions to each of the speakers.
