A new course developed to help healthcare professionals improve the care they offer to people living with diabetes and pancreatic cancer is welcoming registrations.
Pancreatic Cancer UK is delighted to announce the launch of a first-of-its-kind diabetes and pancreatic cancer six-part online course.
By taking this course, healthcare professionals will increase their knowledge and understanding of diabetes and pancreatic cancer, and the relationship between the two.
In addition, the course will help them to grow in confidence in supporting their patients to effectively manage their diabetes and pancreatic cancer together.
The content has been written, reviewed and tested by specialist healthcare professionals, is based on current practice and research, and participants will receive a CPD certificate upon completion of each part of the course.
Diabetes is a known risk factor for developing pancreatic cancer and conversely pancreatic cancer can also lead to diabetes. Despite this connection, there is little information available for health professionals on this topic.
