There is an exciting job opportunity for a registered nurse on Grenville Ward as part of Specialist Medicine.
Our specialty makes us an exciting and ambitious, forward thinking department that provides holistic, multi-professional care. We are currently involved in several quality improvement projects which include: Pressure ulcer prevention, SAFER care bundle and ward accreditation. There is commitment to support the development of nurses from a ‘general ward nurse’ to a ‘Speciality’ Nurse including training in Immediate Life Support, AIMS and other specialist procedures depending on the team you may join.
We treat a wide variety of conditions including acute kidney injury (AKI), complications of haemo/peritoneal dialysis treatment, type 1 & 2 Diabetes and its myriad of complications and eating disorders / refeeding syndrome, as well as sepsis, acute coronary syndrome and other general medical conditions. Our team work closely with the renal unit, diabetic specialist nurses, home dialysis nurses, dieticians, diabetic foot clinic, urology and vascular teams.
