The post holder will:1. Provide and manage expert specialist clinical practice to out-patient clinics and in-patients for patients with diabetes.2. To lead in the development of evidence-based clinical nursing practice in line with current research and guidelines.3. To ensure that patients and their families are fully informed and supported in the management and care of their diabetes.4. To link with the wider healthcare teams in order to increase knowledge and delivery of high quality and appropriate diabetes care in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.5. This post holder will be part of the delivery of structured education and support of patients on insulin pumps.
