An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic band 7 Paediatric Diabetes Nurse, to join the dynamic and progressive Paediatric Diabetes Team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.
The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated multi-disciplinary team which provides a comprehensive diabetes service to children, young people and their families.
This team is well established and provides an inpatient and outpatient service across two hospital sites, as well as support in the community.
You will be working with four other experienced Paediatric Diabetes Nurses and you will be responsible for your own caseload of children based at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, running your own clinics.
You would be expected to also work at Maidstone Hospital if the need arises. You will work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team, including Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian’s, Psychologist and Consultant Paediatricians.
You will attend regular multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide inpatient and community support. Delivering education will be a key aspect to your role and this will include children, families, schools and inpatient Nurses/Doctors.
