As a Band 6 Diabetes Nurse Specialist, the successful applicant will share the ambition, vision and values of the department and the wider Trust, supporting a group of Diabetes Specialist Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team including Dietitians and Diabetes Assistant Practitioners.
Bedfordshire NHS Hospitals Foundation Trust offers a very exciting opportunity to the successful candidate to be part of a dynamic Diabetes Nursing Team; based at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, seamless and exemplary care at the point of need, within the inpatient and outpatient diabetes services including In-reach, pregnancy and mental health; whilst engaging with integrated and community services.
The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of high quality, patient centred care within an agreed financial envelope.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who will act as a positive role model in delivering care of the highest quality to patients and their carers, using a professional and competent approach, whist maintaining clinical accountability and autonomy within their practice.
