Job summary

The Adult Nutrition & Dietetic Department, provides an integrated service across both our Hospital and Community sites meeting the needs of our patients across the whole of the Bolton population. We have been funded for 2.39 W.T.E Dietitians to provide a reach in to the Adult Diabetes Service in Bolton. We are looking to recruit Dietitians who wish to develop their skills in supporting patients with Type I and complex Type 2 diabetes. The successful candidates will be part of the Adult Community Dietetics Team based in the centre of Bolton.

Main duties of the job

You will be reviewing patients in a number of settings including the Diabetes Centre, Royal Bolton Hospital and in their own homes. Providing support in maternity and young adult clinics. The successful candidate will input into the daily diabetes MDT. Primarily the workload will include General Diabetes Clinics, Antenatal Clinics, Insulin Pump Clinics and some inpatient ward cover for diabetic patients. A general dietetic clinic will also be included.

As funding is for more than one post we will consider applicants who wish to work both full and part time.As a department we encourage quality improvement and audit work.We are experienced trainers for student dietitians currently providing P1, P2 and P3 placements with theUniversity of Chester, MMU and UCLAN.
