Consultant Psychiatrist in Diabetes Liaison

This is an exciting opportunity to join the specialist Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. This is a 12-month fixed term post for 6 PAs per week. The post holder will join a highly specialised health psychologist and a medical psychotherapist in supporting patients with diabetes and mental health problems.

Assessment, management, sometimes case management, and supporting people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who have mental health issues interfering with diabetes self-care with the primary aim of improving diabetes outcomes, help integrate mental health care into the service, have a strategic role in developing services and be involved in team education and training.
