Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to a leading tertiary centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology? Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking committed and forward-thinking Consultants in Diabetes and Endocrinology to join our friendly, expert team. As part of a department that provides specialist and regional services to a population far beyond Leeds, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care across a range of complex conditions.

Based at the Leeds Centre for Diabetes & Endocrinology, you will also have the chance to contribute to innovative research and education in one of the largest training departments in the country. The department is renowned for its research excellence, and strong links to the University of Leeds, providing an ideal environment for consultants interested in clinical or translational research. With a multidisciplinary approach to care, you will collaborate across specialties, including close links to excellent regional centres of neurosurgery, endocrine surgery, cancer care, antenatal medicine, vascular surgery, and genetics. The department is also dedicated to career development, providing mentoring and support for those who wish to lead or innovate in clinical care, research, or teaching.

The successful applicant should possess MRCP (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories of doctors must be on the Specialist Register.

Applicants should have established skills in Diabetes and Endocrinology and its related specialties including General Internal Medicine. A strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a research interest is desirable.

Consideration will be given to applicants who wish to work full or part time and those wishing to job share.
