An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Chelsea & Westminster Maternity Service (part of Chelsea and Westminster NHS Hospitals) as a Band 6 Midwife for the diabetic service.
The successful post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide a high standard of personalised and evidence based care to women with diabetes throughout pregnancy and beyond. Key working relationships will include the obstetric, endocrine and nursing teams alongside other supportive and allied healthcare professionals and organisations.
Key components of the role are the running of both face to face and virtual clinics, diabetes app management (harnessing technology to support the provision of timely care to women), education for both staff and women to support positive pregnancy experiences and optimum health, care pathway navigation, care planning for pregnancy, labour and birth and audit/shared learning and MDT presentations.
