The digital health and medical device company behind the CamAPS FX app has announced the launch of its iPhone companion feature, enabling iPhone users to remotely monitor glucose and insulin data for people living with type 1 diabetes.
A CamAPS FX app update including this new feature is in the United Kingdom and Sweden, with additional countries to follow.
Previously available only on Android, this expansion to iPhone ensures broader access to remote monitoring, bringing additional flexibility and peace of mind to families and caregivers supporting people with type 1 diabetes.
The companion feature allows designated caregivers to view real-time glucose levels, insulin delivery and alerts.
This helps them provide timely support while giving people living with type 1 diabetes greater confidence in managing their condition.
With the launch of the iPhone companion feature, iPhone users can now also be invited as companions in the CamAPS FX app.
Companions can use either an iPhone or Android smartphone and receive data from both Android and iPhone CamAPS FX users. Both the user and companion will need to be on the latest app version to share data.
