Those with experience of managing diabetic foot ulcer have been invited to take part in a survey aiming to collect the most important baseline patient characteristics which should be reported by studies assessing interventions for diabetic foot ulcers.
These views will be used to create a Core Descriptor Set which will allow direct comparison of studies comparing various treatments.
Findings from the survey, which is led by researchers at the University of Bristol Medical School, will help improve the quality of medical trials looking at treatments for diabetic foot ulcers.
A report of the study findings and academic papers will be published, and summary of the results will be shared with participants through the study’s online survey platform.
