Platinum sponsor announced for new obesity and weight management conference

Lilly announced as Platinum sponsor for the inaugural Obesity & Weight Management Alliance conference to be held in May.

Obesity & Weight Management Alliance 2024 – which includes free CPD-accredited education from leading experts – will be chaired by Professor Melanie Davies CBE, a Professor of Diabetes Medicine at the University of Leicester and an Honorary Consultant Diabetologist at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

“At Lilly, we are proud to support healthcare professionals to enable them to provide better care for people living with obesity,” said Dr Kunal Gulati, Executive Director Diabetes & Obesity Medical Affairs, Lilly Northern Europe. “We are delighted to sponsor the Obesity & Weight Management Alliance conference. Obesity is a complex, chronic condition and people living with obesity deserve comprehensive care.”

Event manager Emily Mayhew added: “The rising number of people living with obesity and weight management challenges has increased the pressure on both healthcare staff and resources across primary and secondary care.

“This conference will help healthcare professionals to expand their knowledge and skillset in this area by enabling them to take advantage of free education from the UK’s leading experts.”

The conference, organised by Orange Juice Communications, will take place at National Conference Centre Birmingham on Friday, May 17.

Entry to the conference is free but places must be booked in advance at http://tinyurl.com/5n8fbdjs
