National diabetes event opens registrations

Healthcare professionals, researchers and scientists specialising in diabetes can now register for a conference dedicated to the subject in April. 

Diabetes UK has announced that its 25th annual conference is taking place at ExCeL London from Wednesday 17 to Friday 19 April 2024.

The in-person conference will showcase the latest knowledge and insights in diabetes care and research.

According to the event organisers, the conference will include multi-disciplinary CPD-accredited programme that will offer exclusive plenaries and workshops that provide valuable practical learnings. That’s in addition to over 340 abstract presentations.

Attendees will also have the chance to network with more than 2,000 peers and colleagues through Professional Interest Network meetings.

An integral part of the conference will be the keynote Named Lectures providing a platform to share recent developments in research and progressive thinking about diabetes care and recognise the lecturers’ outstanding contribution to the field.

The following speakers will be delivering the prestigious Named Lectures at the Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2024:

Banting Memorial Lecture: Professor Roman Hovorka, Professor of Metabolic Technology, University of Cambridge

Arnold Bloom Lecture: Professor Richard Holt, Professor in Diabetes and Endocrinology, University of Southampton
