Healthcare professionals who treat people with diabetes who observe Ramadan are invited to attend a webinar looking at the subject this month.
Taking place on Wednesday, January 10, at 7.30pm, and then again on Thursday, January 18, at the same time, the online events are free to attend.
Dr Nazim Ghouri, Consultant Physician in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine, will lead the webinars, which aim to empower healthcare professionals to support people with diabetes prepare for and observe a safe Ramadan this year.
Attendees will hear evidence-based tips on risk assessments for fasting and medication adaptions for the holy month.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in a live Q&A at the end of the virtual events.
The online sessions have been created by Diabetes UK and the British Islamic Medical Association.
