Hypo Awareness Week will return in September 2023 to once again spread awareness about hypoglycaemia.
Hospitals and primary care organisations in the UK and Ireland are being encouraged to take part in the national event that will take place from Monday, September 11, to Sunday, September 17.
Since 2012, the annual campaign has given the diabetes community the opportunity to discuss, and roll out education about, hypoglycaemia across UK hospitals and primary care settings.
Sites involved in this year’s Hypo Awareness Week (HAW) will receive a printed resource pack which includes posters, t-shirts, pens and stickers.
Additionally, an award will also be presented to the organisation with the best hypo awareness campaign.
Last year 369 sites were involved in the event. The annual campaign is organised by Orange Juice Communications.
