This years’ QiC Diabetes Awards open soon for entry

Healthcare professionals working in the field of diabetes can enter a renowned awards programme later this month. The awards recognise, reward and share innovative practice in diabetes management.

Applicants can submit their entries for the 2022 Quality in Care (QiC) Diabetes Awards from Monday, March 28 until Friday, July 1.

Successful candidates will have put into practice a new care initiative within the last year that has enhanced the lives of people with diabetes.

The awards are returning with a brand-new category, Clinical Pathways Using Technologies, for their 12th year. There will be 10 awards up for grabs, including three nomination prizes.

Debbie Woods, Head of Medical, General Medicines UK and Ireland at Sanofi, said: “Sanofi is delighted to support the QiC Programme in 2022 and to recognise and reward the innovations that will benefit people living with diabetes.

She continued: “The QiC programme is at the forefront of sharing best practice to improve the quality of care, through demonstrating novel solutions to problems encountered by healthcare professionals and those impacted by diabetes on a daily basis.

“The commitment to quality of care is a core value of the NHS and the QiC programme is a shining example of that value in practice.”

Anyone who works within the diabetes field throughout the UK and Ireland are invited to enter the awards.

According to the organisers, judges are hoping to receive and assess a wide spectrum of entries. They are eager to celebrate individuals who are making a positive difference to the lives of people with diabetes.

Judging commences on Tuesday, September 6. The QiC Diabetes 2022 Awards presentation is taking place on Thursday, October 13, at Sanofi’s headquarters in Reading.
