Secondary care specialists sought for NICE technology committee

Specialists in secondary care are being encouraged to join a National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) technology committee.

The Medical Technologies Advisory Committee (MTAC) wants to recruit secondary care specialists who have experience working in urology or mental health.

As part of the committee’s recruitment drive, it is also looking to welcome a health economist to the team.

Developed by NICE, the MTAC makes recommendations on medical devices with the potential to improve health outcomes, efficient use of resources and people’s experiences of treatment and recovery.

Members of the MTAC all work on a voluntary basis, part time and are expected to stay in the post for a minimum of three years.

The deadline to apply for these roles is Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

To apply, email your CV and a covering letter explaining why you should be a suitable candidate for the role to Helen Lidis at cctrct@nice.org.uk.
