Date unveiled for Raising a Smile for Diabetes event

The date for a national diabetes charity fundraiser which is taking place later this year has been announced.

‘Raising a Smile for Diabetes’ will be held on Saturday, May 21 at the Royal College of General Practitioners.

Healthcare professionals who treat people with diabetes in the UK are invited to attend the Vivi Las Vegas inspired summer rooftop party.

Organised by GoggleDocs, the fundraiser will provide diabetes specialists with a night of glitz and glam and first-class entertainment.

As well as the summer rooftop party, an educational workshop will take place in the morning, with all registered delegated eligible to attend.

Funds raised during the day will be donated to multiple diabetes charities, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation, the Diabetes Outreach Prevention Programmes International and the InDependent Diabetes Trust. 

Medical communications and pharmaceutical industry professionals can also attend the event, which is being sponsored by the pharma company Roche.
