Healthcare professionals can now register for the upcoming monogenic diabetes training course, ‘Right diagnosis, right treatment’.
Hosted by Professor Andrew Hattersley and Professor Maggie Shepherd, the two-day online event will take place on Wednesday, October 20, and Thursday, October 21.
The virtual course is designed to help busy clinicians recognise and treat people with different forms of monogenic diabetes, such as maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY).
The online programme, which is aimed at Consultants and experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurses, will focus on comparing the current practices with new developments that have been created to improve the management of monogenic diabetes.
During the webinar, international experts will deliver plenary lectures on several major topics.
Any healthcare professional working in diabetes care in England can attend this training course for free.
However, due to limited spaces, trust-level Diabetes Specialists Nurses and Consultant Monogenic Diabetes Leads who have had no previous training will be prioritised for the programme.
